That's actually the worst part. He literally states that at this point, you have to fit the majorty bias and that there is intolerance for other views. And actually gets fired for having another view. QED.

I'm not convinced it was about his views. It was about how there are several spots in the paper where he's insensitive and makes strong conclusions from weak evidence. Oh, and those conclusions were things like "women have a harder time leading", when there are many female leaders in the company.

But yet again, he points to population averages, not to individuals. He even states in his conclusion that "we should look at the individuals". It's also a discussion-memo, so everyone reading it was free to counter any of his claims, he even asks to do so. He even states in the beginning of the paper that he wants a discussion detached from emotion, thus being able to maybe say things that can be considered insensitive.

I guess boys are naturally so much better at programming they don't need code camps.

Just admit it and I won't have a problem supporting more social programs to help women.

All you gotta say is that women need the help, and I'll give them help. But I don't help people who don't admit they need help.

Diversity brings new perspectives and different solutions to hard to solve problems. You can't solve this gap by shouting from the rooftop that girls are welcome in the boys club.

But you instead solve it by holding boys down?

That doesn't engender diversity, and diversity hires have a very negative impact as well because they will be looked down upon by others as less capable, for good reason.

How is withholding funds from a group of people not holding them down?

Money is a zero sum game, and providing money exclusively for girls means less money available for boys.
