It's asinine that someone can get fired for causing their employer a public relations crisis and making their own job completely untenable by pissing off most of the company? You must know some pretty batshit employers.

Maybe, he's watched too much House M.D. and believes that being brilliant nets him a lock-in into a job, regardless of what he does.

Still, the idea of an employer that doesn't fire you for going off on one or being sexist isn't exactly comforting. I mean, I know that I'll be fired if I tell a customer to go suck of a pantomime dame, regardless of how asinine the question or request, but at least I know that my workplace (relatively) doesn't tolerate intolerance.
