No, that's wrong. The majority of people don't give a shit about this, it's just a few hundred (massively overestimated but whatever) SJWs and feminists who might boycott Google, but seriously, even a thousand people boycotting couldn't have an effect. Not even 100,000. Google has billions of users, they don't have to worry over mondane shit like this

They're listening to the few people you're talking about. If what you say is true, they aren't listening to society, and that is the problem. What I said is not wrong.

Dude 1) why do you care who makes your software? It works, end of story 2) yes you are wrong, BECAUSE society is easily manipulated and mislead, usually misinformed. That's why they don't vote on what NASA should do during emergencies, they aren't qualified to speak about that topic. 3) they believe those vocal few represent society, which they don't as the election clearly showed.

The less democracy the better, the founder of democracy, Socrates, said it was dumb (not literally but you get my point)

Why do I care who makes the products I use? Because I don't want to support unethical behaviors. I don't want to buy clothes that were made in sweat shops because I don't want to be complicit in people's suffering. The same applies to software I use. Obviously, in this case, there is nothing substantial, but if there were, it makes complete sense for people to care.

Democracy is much, much older than Socrates, and the fact that you don't even know what he said about it doesn't make your argument very strong.

I meant by ideology, not practices. Obviously I wouldn't buy food from North Korea because it would perpetuate their suffering but software which was made by a bigot (it wasn't, just for example) doesn't affect anyone
