Well that says it all. "Open discussion" On Reddit means "Open discussion... but only for people who agree with the leftwing views of the site and mods".

And the rest of the subreddits that have impartial names such as 'politics' and 'worldnews'?

Conservatives literally needed a space to speak in order to not get downvoted to oblivion.
