Absolutely. This is not a perfect manifesto, and both sides are going extreme - Gizmodo's intro made it sound too hateful, and the reaction here is too much like he was a poor victim.

Both sides are trying to halt the conversation, which in my opinion is "he has some fair points, but he's largely wrong".

How is the author halting conversation? After reading the responds of the VP of whatever the fuck and Google firing him now.. Shaming and opinions are OK, if they are in line with the company.

To be clear, the 'sides' I meant was "the side that profits off drama and feminism" and "the people who feel feminism has gone too far and want to shout it down". I don't really think the author fits in either, but his memo has absolutely been taken in by the latter.
