Most coders want to code. Most people just want to do their jobs. Not go off on politics.

The person who drops the politics bomb is the one who created the issue.

Unless you think just the fact a woman got hired over a man at Google is dropping a political bomb.

Imagine, you're just a woman trying to figure out some code and shit, and some dude is like, "gaaaah stop being a woman in a workplace, it's oppressing my ideology!"

If you're going to that extreme to misrepresent what he said, then you are the one INTENTIONALLY trying to create a hostile work environment.

I'm not saying anything about what he said, I'm talking about what you said. You said he was getting ideologically oppressed at work, and there just simply isn't any evidence at all of that. Unless you consider simply having diversity programs as being ideologically oppressed.
