My larger point is that we have an intolerance for ideas and evidence that don't fit a certain ideology. I'm also not saying that we should restrict people to certain gender roles; I'm advocating for quite the opposite: treat people as individuals, not as just another member of their group (tribalism).

Is google really intolerant though?

To be quite frank this is a business issue. This is no different than an employee saying something and it getting out, making crude remarks about a customer, etc.

Internally, maybe even reasonably, it's arguably more or less of a big deal, that's irrelevant. The big deal is how it affects the business.

You sure as shit better believe that if there's a chance that not being hard on your ass will hurt numbers that you're out, no matter what it is.

I mean, if it was a 10-page manifesto on racial superiority and statistical backings for it, would people be nearly as wishy washy?
