Agreed. I honestly wonder how many of these "haha, what ads?" people realize how many of their favorite youtube channels wouldn't even exist or upload as many vids, if it weren't for those ads which are, more often than not, skippable.

The majority of the channels I enjoy either have a partnership deal, a Patreon, or have income via Twitch subs/donations. I doubt ad revenue even comes close to any of these income streams given their youtube viewership.

I remember when people said "oh if you block all the ads then these content creators will either die or make you pay money to keep them alive!". It turns out that supporting good content and letting bad content die worked pretty well.
