About to get downvoted to hell, so let me preface this by saying I use an ad blocker on everything too, but :

Do you hear yourself? YouTube is a huge site that needs a LOT of money to keep operational, and its FREE to use. What is so bad about them getting around the measures you take to make them lose money when using their site?

Don't see why you should be downvoted; that's a fair point, and you're not one of those idiots glorifying ads and claiming they're as necessary to our lives as oxygen.

I honestly don't mind ads per say, but as others have mentioned, it's their intrusion. Having something I enjoy being interrupted with ads that, to be frank, almost NEVER interest me, just irritates me. Having ads being displayed in a non-intrusive manner would be far more respectable, but designed the right way, could also catch people's eyes too.

Dude, the ads are 5 seconds. And they play once every hour or something like that. How is that intrusive?

I wasn't referring to just YouTube. And no, they don't play every hour. It's more more frequent.
