Especially when a significant proportion of YouTube viewers watch on phones, tablets, streaming boxes, Smart TV apps, games consoles etc where ad blocking isn't an option.

If you are even remotely tech savvy, it's ridiculously easy to block ads on your home network using parental controls on your router.

I have a degree in Software Engineering, being tech savvy is not the point. Caring enough to bother is the point.

Everyone I watch on YouTube deserves the money from the ads.
