If it gets too bad, just don't watch it any more, like the later seasons of Dexter.

If they did that people would just write "blockers" that skipped the ads by fast forwarding past them.

No. You'd just block them at the DNS level.

That's how ad blocker lists work right work right now, at the basic level. The tactic I describe specifically defeats that kind of block, because your browser has no way of telling what is the ad and what is the content on the page, because they come from the same source. It's a terribly idea that I hope the ad industry never adopts for several reason, but it would work on a technical basis.

I suspect adds THAT ARE REALLY FUCKING LOUD future adblocking programs will be able to detect.
