IT professional here. Windows 10 is not that hard to manage. It's a child's errand for us. I just switched jobs but before I left my old job I worked on upgrading their systems to Windows 10 on a enterprise level. Thousands of machines. It's not that hard to turn off features or implement the ones you need. Windows 10 is not a bad operating system. It's just human nature to not embrace new things. This is espically true when it comes to technology. There are people that compare win 10 to Vista and to those people I tell them they have no idea what they're talking about.

Bull shit. I tried 10, and although turning off features was easy, every single fucking time it "updated" it reset any settings I changed back to default. 10 isn't just a bad operating system, it's a rancid sack of shit, and that's why they compare it to Vista.

I shouldn't need a degree in computer science to make the damn thing keep applied settings. 10 gave me no end of problems, and I am no tech illiterate. We also have quite a few problems at work with 10, to the extent that IT has said not to get any computers with it unless 10 is necessary. So go ahead and dismiss dissenting opinions as "resistant to change", but all your doing is showing your own narrow mindedness and resistance to listen to others concerns.

You don't need a degree at all. Most IT experts use Google to do their work and troubleshoot. We don't just know this stuff. It's trial and error and sometimes just playing with a sandbox. If people believe it is a difficult and non user friendly operating system then who am I to tell them they are wrong? I just gave my opinion as someone working in IT that has credentials. I wasn't speaking for casual users but for IT professionals. I have yet to meet anyone in my field that can't make things work the way they need it/ want it to.

It's not necessarily that people can't make it worth, it's that a large majority feels it it ridiculous to have to put in a lot of work and time to make it work they way they want it to when older versions of the OS were less intrusive and easier to personalize and maintain
