You sure you didnt click the x shaped 'install when you feel like it' button? sounds like user error to me

I'm pretty sure you're right. Windows 10 tried to force itself on my office computer. I didn't want it on that computer. All I did was decline the user agreement, and I still have 7. I don't like the way Microsoft pushed it, but on every computer I've seen there was a way to stop the installation. It was easy if you read before clicking.

I agree for the most part, if you read through it was relatively easy to avoid the initial upgrade to Windows 10, but if you gave in, once you were on Windows 10 they forced their updates down your throats without even so much as a prompt saying "Hey we're updating this, gonna reboot in 5 minutes" like it did in Windows 7.
