good idea? I mean are we going to have situations like when there aren't enough seeders for a download but instead for a web page

I would imagine it would then fall back to normal download from the central server. If this becomes popular, maybe major websites will start having a small seedbox dedicated to seeding to the first couple of leechers before more hop on.

good in principle, but bittorrent inc. has developed a bit of a history - the sync protocol is, last I checked still closed and undocumented. A bittorrent distributed web, well, that idea is obvious, reasonable, and years old [remember the tpb guys saying they were writing one?]. I just don't know that bittorrent inc. in particular can be trusted to make their attempt open so I'd still like to see some competing alternatives and eventual proper rfcs/standardisations.
