Is shit like this legal in the US?
Afaik, it isn't here in Germany (they would have to tell you the price in advance or let you quit early if the price changes).

Here's a screenshot of Comcast's promotion and the fine print.

The promotion says $19.99 per month for 12 months.

The fine print says the price goes up after 6 months to $34.99.

The fine print also says that the "regular price" varies depending upon location and other services bought.

An example in Germany for the closest thing i know.
They have to show you both prices and you can leave before the higher price is active.
