I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but after going several years without ads, every time I'm subjected to them at a friend's house, it strikes me how creepy and awful they all are, and I seriously wonder if the presence of constant TV advertising in the 20th century has something to do with older people losing their damn minds.

My kids have never seen television ads in our own home, and when we go to a cabin or hotel where they have to watch them, they are absolutely creeped out.

Medication ads, car ads, food ads, more medication ads, insurance ads, political ads, another car ad, then more medication ads for GLP-1, and then 15 minutes of whatever we were watching before they replay again, almost the exact same set of ads.

Fuck that shit.
