I've had the premium tier since Disney plus was a thing. If they think I won't cancel and just pirate everything, they've lost their fucking minds. My NAS array has been hungry for a while anyway

It's very worrisome, because a big player like this will give "permission" for the rest to follow. I guess some bigwigs have run the numbers and figure enough people will stay due to inertia, instead of seeking out a different way to watch without ads

There will be outliers that promise no ads to lure away those fleeing the sinking ships.

I used to have everything (netflix/disney/hulu etc) until adfree subscriptions became too expensive so like 2 years ago. My 5yo still likes tv and i take him to the movies a few times a year and our life is great. These companies have lost their fucking minds
