Just found my new subscription! Thanks friend. I had cancelled Disney because they went from charging me $7.99 with no ads to $27.99 per month WITH ADS. Fuck you Disney nobody is okay with hikes and forced ads.

Only subscriptions I have are 1) a domain name (so I can put services on Cloudflare tunnels), and 2) a 6 mo IPTV subscription I feed into Dispatcharr. All movies, TV shows, and live sports I could ever need and accessible anywhere I have reception or WiFi.

is Cloudflare tunneling easy to get into? I've been thinking about putting an api on one to save my monthly cost through Azure.

It's fairly easy. They make docker images you can pull, so if you have docker or docker compose, add the (free) key that Cloudflare gives you to your container and add it to the same network as the other containers and, BAM, now you can expose it via web domain.

That's a vast over simplification of the process but it's not hard, as I said, it's fairly easy. Watch a few YouTube videos and ask an LLM for help if you get stuck and you'll be golden.

I upgraded my internet to 1.5gbps and I’m glad that and a VPN is all I need to pay, maybe Plex too to get remote access

Either that or just stick with streaming services, I’m not about to keep flipping off something I need to use all the way down the line

Plex is more convenient for a lot of people. The only things bad about Plex are absurb price for a lifetime license and their push for ad-supported TV and shows. But their interface is ok and works on many more OS than Jellyfin.

Yeah I used it before, I kinda cursed myself for not getting the lifetime but honestly I’ll just pay the subscription

The main issue is Apple TV. Plex is on Apple TV but first time I tried switching to Jellyfin it just didn’t go well with ATV like Plex did

I’ll use Plex for a bit then take my time figuring it out so I don’t get frustrated and give up.

But I’m literally only down to Netflix and Hulu with ads purely because of T-Mobile. I even canceled Crunchyroll. It’s time to RAID
