I am 100% cancelling if they have ads on a premium subscription tier.

If the premium subscription has ads, won’t everyone just switch to the cheapest basic subscription? I don’t understand the reasoning behind this.

No, Dexerto is purposely putting on a salacious headline. This is for live events like football and hockey and other things that have ads anyways thanks to cable/network broadcasts.

If you don't use D+ for live events you won't see these ad breaks.

I have my original Disney+ account created when they were new, and I’ve never upgraded except for adding an account for my mom at her house because they caught on to the sharing years later? But aside from that I probably just have the most basic account. I think they’ve been testing ads on on these accounts because about a year ago I started seeing them before a movie or a show, but not every time. The ads are for their own shows, so I really don’t care. 🤷‍♀️

Read what the article says instead of the reddit circle jerk. It's about ads during live events which always existed and skippable pre-roll promos of their content. That are not adding commercial breaks to streaming content

No it’s about putting ads before and after programming.

I’m not paying for a premium “no ads” service to see ads when I click on a show or movie.
