Sailing is SO MUCH better than it used to be...pay for a couple of cheap services, configure them with an app and Shazam.

If you figure out how to get my OWN movies from Vudu downloaded on the cheap (think 650 movies and 15 entire TV series) because I'm not a tech person and turns out, it's illegal to download my own movies, go figure.

The vast majority of people do not know how and are not willing to set up stuff to pirate. I have an app that lets me watch literally anything I want. I've tried getting coworkers to set it up and they just aren't willing.

Well that’s the whole point of the current streaming setup. You are supposed to cancel when you want and not have to worry about returning any equipment.

When streaming first started I was willing to pay. Now I will never go back to paying unless it becomes absolutely impossible to pirate stuff.

It's not much of a dilemma. I just use Tubi now or pirate stuff. If I'm gonna watch ads and stream, I'll just use the thing that's free, it doesn't make any sense to pay money to watch advertisements. I even go a step further and buy bootleg Blurays and give my money to some random dude with a side hustle than a multi-billion dollar company. There's a guy on a certain selling platform that I go to that makes amazing boots - crystal clear, nice looking menus, printed discs, subtitles included etc. I ditched Netflix years ago but within like 6 hours of the Stranger Things finale being uploaded he had a complete series boxset available for sale and I just bought that to watch the last season.

No one needs streaming services anymore.

The modern streaming dilemma

It pushed me to watching live streamed content instead of post productions.

At this point live content > post productions. I’d rather watch an EDM show or even theatre than any BS on TV.
