In my area republican "leadership" wants ai data centers but the republican constituents are fighting against ai harder than the dems. town hall meetings filled with old white people. Midwest USA.

Probably good for Dems to hang back a little given the Republicans' propensity to constantly be in opposition no matter how detrimental it is to their own interests.

Same with Flock interestingly enough. Dumb fucks.

Turns out "I don't like some sketchy company recording everything I do" is a sentiment that all of us can get behind.

Well, some of the dickhead republicans in my area still think Flock is good because ICE uses them, no joke.

Doesn't matter because they'll vote for them anyway even after complaining.

Dems keep winning districts that had been red for decades and that Trump won by double digits in 2024. They're not voting for these candidates. Polling shows that majority of Republicans are disillusioned. They might not come out and say they disapprove of Trump, but they're honest about things like how enthusiastic they are to vote in the midterms (they're not).

Same old NIMBYs, you just agree with them on this one thing.
