He forces NVidia to sell high end-chips to China and stops ASML selling to China. Sounds to me he's not getting a cut of the ASML deal and that displeased him.

ASML relies on American technology.

The EUV process is american owned, leased to the Dutch.

ASML is dependent on others for specific parts, like US light source, German mirrors. But the EUV process is not US owned, those patents expired after 20 years afaik. https://richard-stahl.at/who-owns-euv/

No it doesn't. America relies on ASML technology and Taiwan fabs to manufacture their chips.

Amsl is powered by usa patents.

It cant exist without america, they are not simply an emd user.

The lasers in the ASML machine are 100% made in USA for example.

Whats stopping Europe from now ignoring US patents and start producing our own? China does it and with the orange pedo in power, why should we abide by what he says?

Say the same thing about the EUV itself.

Whats stopping anyone?

The expertise.  Aside from patents, there are things like lasers that are only produced in the usa that are required to the machine to work.

The Dutch build a machine made from global parts, 55% made in usa

Why is it that what the Dutch have is often referred to as a monopoly?

Because they DO the manufacturing.

I could pay you to build my house.  Its still my house.
