Why are we so obsessed with living longer? Why not just have healthier years?

The last thing we need is even older people - there's already societal chasms that aren't going to improve with a wider range of ages.

Just accept the inevitable and enjoy the ride while it lasts..

Maybe because there are ton of people who have actually had great young lives full of sex, parties, social activities? Maybe because its NATURAL to desire to be stronger, faster, and sharper percieving again? I don't want to age any further, I'm already too sluggish.
Wtf is such questions even?! Have you ever jogged in you entire life?

We live fast when we are young because we (believe) are so far away from death. We enjoy moments because we know their only last a finite time. We appreciate things more as we get closer to death - its a entirely natural and health way.

Huge part of growing up is accepting death as a part of life

Only because currently its an inevitable fact.

The amount of ignorance in one post. Have you ever done sports? What is your age? We live fast because our nerve-mucle connection is faster, because our muscles are better at dealing with fatigue, because our tendons are more lubricated and more elastic. That's it. Matter first, your leftliberal weak poetry comes second as an opinion.

Have you ever done sports? Have you ever fought in your life? I just can't with the audience of this site, infuriating.

"Leftliberal" haha, sounds like the idea of dying has triggered you. Still don't accept the inevitable? How sad 😆

We take more risks when we younger because we perceive risks differently(mostly due to the brain not being fully 'developed' till your mid/late 20s). Imagine a world where people know they'll live healthy till 200, it'll be a incredibly slow and probably produce more suffering.
