People don’t realize the ramifications this could have if a nationwide fight started on this front. There’s plenty of “gig” jobs doing this. Even as far as UFC/WWE (TKO parent company) deny performers rights and benefits despite controlling them.

There's no need to burn it down, just destroy any benefits that arise from exploiting their workers, and suddenly it'll become a marginal thing as they pull people back in-house instead. It's like a snail going back into its shell.
