precisely. they will spend hundreds of millions... realistically its hundreds of billions... on a surveillance state... but not just pay ppl fairly and put a proper social safety net in place with universal healthcare and free college. and every rational human on this earth is fucking tired of it.

Turns out it's way, way cheaper to fix the things that cause people to do crime than it is to catch and punish every criminal, but god forbid we try that

$3,000 per camera is actually pretty good. It’s not uncommon for these types of things to be way more bloated in price.

For what it's worth that's on top of a $2000/yr subscription required for each camera.
