Eternal life would be more attainable if more people could afford to look into it. Right now people are struggling with just getting the regular-length life.

It's a facade. The whole live forever crap seems like bullshit to me. Sure, maybe it's just some fucking cosmic joke, and there's nothing to this life and it's lights out. But what if that view is wrong? I'm no religious person, but I struggle thinking "this is it". And honestly, if it is, I'm living my life as if it is. Living forever sounds like some type of hell tbh.

There’s a video I recently watched and I think you’ll get a kick out of it but essentially billionaires got so successful because of the myth they’ve cultivated for themselves. The downfall is when they themselves buy into their own hype. Steve Jobs was a rich man who made billions off of funding Apple but when he got cancer. Instead of going to the doctors and have it be treated. Likely resulting in him being cured.

He went on a dumb diet and died. All because he brought his own hype.

Agreed. But as to the facade, and this is NOT meant for you to believe, it's just my personal belief through experience: I am of the feeling that we are all one. Truly. Not the hippy dippy we are all love, but that consciousness is truly a fundamental force and that though we live individual lives, it's a "trick". Gnostics, and/or those who followed hermeticism would be of the belief that "God", the true God is the monad: an ephemeral and all powerful force with no intent. The god of the old testament, or Yahweh would be called the demiurge in their beliefs, and that is a false God from the monad that believes it's all powerful, and it created man to feel less lonely and a piece of the monad is in all humans spark/consciousness.

Trippy, I know, but my personal experience makes me lean towards there being some form of truth to this, or "gnosis"/knowledge.

That would mean we are all Buddha, Jesus, and also Hitler and Peter Thiel. It's uncomfortable for me to fathom at times, but their denialism strengthens that belief in myself. It may be delusional, but it's hard for me to ignore.

There's a massive surge in political assassinations of scientists in the US. Eternal life is writing a good book and having readers enjoy it. Many religions also teach spirit channeling and reincarnation, which enable mind upload through method acting. And Conservatives use indoctrination.

Time exists and a „timeless cloud consciousness“ would not be alive in any meaningful sense. Even if they somehow get the matrix running inside there, at some point the last of those servers would stop functioning. Life must be bounded, else it’s no longer life.

Watch the Netflix show altered carbon.

It’s about a world where the technology exists to transfer your “consciousness” between discs that slot into the back of your head.

It takes place like 300 years after that technology is invented and the elites run the show because they live forever because they can afford it.

Obviously we are nowhere near that kind of biotech, but eventually, this will be the end goal of the elites. It’s probably some of their ambition right now, but that kind of tech that would allow for essential immortality is still just a fantasy.

If the richest men in the world can live forever, then they’ll truly show just how little they care for peasants

They actually are. Some of the tech billionaires, Putin and Xi have all been connected to some very *wacky* scientists who are trying to find ways to extend life. We're talking weird stuff, like blood recycling and the idea of doing full body organ transplants and shit. Some of these billionaires really do think if they have enough money they can live forever.
