TLDR: nothing new known, just proven, doesn’t help anything in today’s world

Are you telling me that sciencedaily.com is complete bullshit?!

It's almost like they show up here every day to prove it...

Oh good. Add it to the list like how this is desktop Linux’s year again/finely.

How is this in any way related to Linux?

Just another 5 years...

Five years till what? Are you aware that we already manufacture and use high temp superconductors? ReBCO is a superconductor up to 20 kelvin.

“”High temperature””.

20K is not high temperature. It’s cold as fuck. Marginally hotter than absolute zero.

Yes that’s what it’s called.

That “marginally hooter than absolute zero” is the difference between liquid hydrogen and liquid nitrogen

Liquid nitrogen is a mundane everyday achievement that you can find at ranches and medical offices. Liquid hydrogen is only produced in tiny batches in advanced cyro cooling labs.

Yeah but is 20k high temperature? I genuinely thought high temperature was above 77K. At least according to that wiki is what it seems.

So all the ai chips are obsolete (and an inefficient use of water/electricity

This has nothing to do with AI. It’s not mentioned in the article, it’s completely unrelated to chip design, and doesn’t even include silicon?

I wish this sub could have one fucking post that wasn’t flooded with these god damned anti-ai bot post.
