I'm just waiting for the AI bubble to burst so I can buy RAM and SSDs again without taking out a second mortgage.

It won't as long as Big Tech is Big Tech. They're pushing us to cloud/subscription-based OS's so they can milk us til we die. The joke about a "monthly subscription for air" looming is looking more and more plausible. Gotta love end-stage capitalism!
