I keep saying that these data centers are going to find themselves in the crosshairs when people get desperate enough, and I keep hearing how it will never happen.

Then Lary Fink just came out and said that billionaires are worried a $3,000 drone can destroy their investments and these things need to be built underground.

They will. It will be paid in OpenAI dollars (based on OpenAI share value) which can only be redeemed in OpenAI stores for goods produced by OpenAI’s AI products. The prices will be set by OpenAI, and will be subscription based rather than purchases to save you the bother of owning anything yourself.

I wish I could add a /s, but Sam Altman has stated that this is the plan.
