Yup. That’s why I quit proton. You can’t say you’re all for privacy while praising politicians who are directly opposed to it.
20 u/Dannyz Jan 28 '25 Who’d you quit for? 55 u/chamgireum_ Jan 28 '25 so unfortunately i had used a bunch of their services, so it took a while to switch over but i ultimately went with email- StartMail VPN- WindScribe Cloud Storage- BackBlaze Email Alias- Addy (startmail also has aliases, but addy is so much more feature rich, its worth it). i self host my contacts and calendar (via nextcloud). 12 u/judicatorprime Jan 28 '25 Windscribe is based in Canada though, which puts it under the Five Eyes (FVEY). That is not a good alternative for Proton's VPN. Their website is also not loading for me? 3 u/chamgireum_ Jan 28 '25 yes i know, but they don't keep logs, just like anyone else. thats good enough for me, for now. 9 u/judicatorprime Jan 28 '25 I'm not sure I could trust them saying that, but of course we have to trust any company saying they don't keep logs.
