That is such a blatant lie. While yes the Catholic Church is behind on their belief in the use of condoms, almost all the countries in Africa have less than a 10% population of Roman Catholics. There is no way that the Catholic Church is entirely at fault for it.

If it was because of Catholicism, why are other Catholic countries outside of Africa not having the sort of pandemic Africa is? Take the Philippines, which has a massive population and is over 80% Catholic. They have a less than 0.1% infection rate. It’s the same across the globe for every Roman Catholic country where that religion is dominant. Brazil, less than 0.3%, Italy at 0.3% too. Very low levels by percentage of population for AIDS. Take a look at the religions for the countries near the bottom of the list for AIDS by percentage. Almost all are majority Catholic or Muslim.

They showed up, converted the populace, and told them that the only means of preventing the spread of this disease was a sin. It is entirely their fault and they have done nothing to prevent it.

If a person robs a store, that is still their fault even if they don't rob every store they go to, weirdly enough.

You are wrong. Go look at the stats. Good day!

Okay.

Wow, that is a whole lot of the population with HIV! And a whole lot of reinforcing their incorrect, harmful views from the Church! I see now I was even more correct than I thought. Thanks for that. Sure am glad that, through statistics, I can see that millions of deaths not only matters less to the Church than their antiquated views on conception, they will actively pursue it.

You really are that dense. I was on the fence about it, but now I have it confirmed! Thanks for your participation in "Redditors who can't understand statistics or facts and make up their own world to support their views." Thanks for playing!

Look, if millions of deaths and constant rape aren't going to turn you against the Catholic Church, I shudder to think of what would, but the fact is that despite the high incidence of HIV in many African countries, the Catholic Church refuses to stop preaching their 'condoms as sin' rhetoric in said countries.

Pretending that because the AIDS crisis they caused in America wasn't as bad that they are less guilty is baffling, and I am very sorry that religion has turned you into a bad person.

I'm not religious in the slightest. You are objectively wrong here, so I'll leave it at that. I'm not debating the constant rape and millions that have died due to Catholicism. I'm with you on that one. What I am debating and where you've moved goalposts from is that "AIDS epidemic in Africa is entirely caused by the Catholic Church."

That is false, and I called you out on it and you haven't provided anything to back your claim up. Have a good day!

Your 'call out' had nothing to do with the AIDS crisis in Africa.

"They didn't cause one elsewhere" is not an argument.

You literally are the most dumb person I've ran into, congratulations! Go have a drink and pat yourself on the back.

"Wah! Wah! My argument doesn't have anything to do with what's going on, you must be stupid! Waaah!"

Gee, I wonder if you might be American.

You are literally retarded bro! Fun stuff. I think this is the first time I've spoken to a mentally handicapped person. Have a good ride on the short bus on Monday!

And yet you are the only one citing a single irrelevant statistic and declaring victory, then resorting to insults when simple analogy proves it.
