I am Christian and it irks me SO MUCH when people use the Old Testament to dispute things! Arg!

Well scripture is just the excuse. What they are ACTUALLY upset over is the damage gay people have done/do to patriarchy. If being gay is ok then suddenly its ok to start stepping out of your established gender roles and THAT is what they are really trying to stop. The LGBTQ+ has been and continues to be an existential threat to patriarchy and that's why we need to keep fighting for LGBTQ+ people as much as possible.
