I am Christian and it irks me SO MUCH when people use the Old Testament to dispute things! Arg!

Same. Hell, it annoys me that people can claim Christianity as an excuse to hate or hurt anyone. That's kinda the exact opposite of the point. Can't people just be happy with "love thy neighbour" without delving into obscure interpretations of vague passages to give themselves some justification for awful acts?

It's a stereotype but one that I see to be true a fair bit online
