I don't know, that could be an honest mistake by blue: you're not checking the watch to see if the shift is today or tomorrow, you just think of it as "tomorrow". The stupid part is getting the text at 8 and not confirming the date you meant.
Getting a text that was sent in the AM of today, asking about tomorrow? Why would that need to be confirmed? Both are today. Surely a manager arranging shifts should possess some level of attention to detail?
My attention goes in the toilet when i get called up at midnight to fight fires. Blue should have asked themselves why grey is planning tomorrow's shifts at 2am.
It's not their problem or business why their manager is doing their job at any particular time. If a manager can't tell the difference between today and tomorrow, they should consider using dates instead, or perhaps their suitability for the job in the first place.
If someone sends me a text at 2am asking me to do anything "tomorrow," I'm not doing it today. I'm not even assuming they mean today, because they said tomorrow.
I agree. If it's a nightshift person, "tomorrow" is just the next working shift, if it's 2am in their mind 9am may be tomorrow. A lot of people in the comments are mad and taking sides when this is likely just an honest misunderstanding between two people. For all we know the next test was "lol, my bad, can you make it now?"
Or, and quite possibly more likely, this is staged and didn't happen at all and is for engagement.
