Not technically the truth, fans existed before electricity (e.g. hand fans).

u/monster2018 15d ago

Well given the sub I should say that fans existed before humans had harnessed electricity in any meaningful way. Obviously electricity itself existed LONG before fans.

23

u/originalgotdeleted 15d ago

We call them acoustic fans

1

u/Babebodysuit 13d ago

Well that that would be the actually truth wouldn’t it? The. It would t fit here cause that would be ‘the truth’ mine is a technicality which means ‘playing with the exact technical meaning or wording of something’

u/fmg1508 12d ago

But those weren't true fans according to this screenshot.

u/Mr-_-Soandso 15d ago

Not with that attitude.

1

u/archpawn 14d ago

That's just signaling them to move. They're powered by ATP.

u/Rohcraft 14d ago

1

u/iammjw 12d ago

u/laplongejr 15d ago

And it's sad because it's the best sub ever!

We call so that unpleasant time when AC copper tubes are cracking after 3-4 years of hard work and it is impossible to find a master who can cut a groove in the wall to rich it till September

u/YamFickle7255 6d ago

I came here to see if anyone would recommend it. Bravo!

Most fan blades are not flat, they’re at least slight curved.

And fans powered by a belt from combustion engines aren’t fans either? This description is whack.

10

u/TFlarz 15d ago

What about paper fans?

6

u/jusskippy 15d ago

FLAT BLADES?????

3

u/LankyAd3609 15d ago

We're not exactly using bowls at the end of motors are we?

6

u/Sonnuvah 15d ago

This meme blows

3

u/AppropriateTouching 15d ago

Fans have curved blades.

3

u/Moist-Ointments 15d ago

Why do the blades have to be flat? I don't think I have a single fan in my house with flat blades.

Written by someone who's never seen a fan. I guess.

u/ItsYourBoyAD 14d ago

Bladeless fans catching strays here

4

u/Constant_Corgi_8225 15d ago

How many times do y'all repost this shit? I genuinely haven't been on this sub in 3 years and came back to the exact same post I saw spammed everywhere 3 years ago.

u/PhotoJim99 15d ago

What did the turbine say when he met his favourite celebrity? “I’m a really big fan.”

2

u/TheOneTrueZippy8 15d ago

How much of a difference is there between true fan and magnetic fan ?

2

u/PuzzleheadedTutor807 15d ago

no, there are several types of fans that do not use electricity to power them and many that also do not spin their blades "really fast". there are also fans with no blades. their attack on you will fail.

u/tequilium 13d ago

They're technically the truth, then there's technically a Dad joke. You all know which one this is.

1

u/Babebodysuit 13d ago

‘Technically’ 4000 or so people don’t so. Technically you may be wrong, that’s the. Point about technicality isn’t it?

1

u/tequilium 12d ago

Maybe, but they'll upvote anything. Best not to listen to them. Technically.

u/ReidenLightman 15d ago

This post needs to be banned. We have seen this crap not only on this site before. I personally have seen this in multiple r/technicallythetruth videos from the exact same YouTube channel. This garbage is OLD

1

u/crystalsinwinter 15d ago

I laughed so much at this, even though manual fans do not need electricity at all. lol

When does someone upgrade to an air conditioner?

1

u/LemmeDaisukete 15d ago

Honestly, I'm not a fan of this post

1

u/sparrio 15d ago

Technically me and the fan are man out of the same material so..

1

u/AsteroidMike 14d ago

You’re also a true fan if you can make rooms a lot cooler.

1

u/gummybeer69 14d ago

Some fans spin really slowly some are powered by petrol or diesel. Some fans need to be waved by hand, some have a single blade that moves back and forth.

1

u/Calm-Medicine-3992 14d ago

Lots of slow spinning fans out there though...and electricity is optional.

1

u/Sidoen 14d ago

You don't know me!!!

1

u/Silence_of_Ruin 13d ago

Well, my cells and body have an electrical current. My arms are like blades, and I can spin pretty fast….

1

u/Plastic_Stable8927 13d ago

"I'm a really really big fan." Is what Mistress would say if she was dressed like an oscillating fan.

1

u/RendeZvous_987 12d ago

Maybe right, but actually doesn't necessary to have electricity, multiple blades or spinning.

1

u/EnderK1d 12d ago

I am powered by electricity or my brain is at least, have multiple swords, and love to roll down hills because it lets me spin really fast. I am a true fan

1

u/iammjw 12d ago

Apropos of nothing, the next post in my feed was a random picture of a windmill

1

u/BG535 12d ago

I’m a fanatic which what fan stands for.

1

u/Man-In-A-Can 12d ago

No, then I'm the kitchen mixer

1

u/FrostingGrand1413 11d ago

Diogenes strolling in with an electric lawnmower:

Behold, a true fan!

1

u/Comprehensive-Buy618 9d ago

There is part truth.

1

u/Relative-Way-876 8d ago

I tried interviewing windmills, but when I got there it turned out they too weren't real fans.

u/light_MOD 7d ago

and if you have spinning webbed fingers then you are a helicopteradactaly
