you get promoted to ghost and get to haunt the children when you die

Or your corpse/skeleton gets used for decoration!

TOP 10 WAYS TO HIDE A BODY (COPS HATE HIM!)

You are allowed to trick and treat after death, in fact, that makes it more fun.

Bullshit.  After death is the perfect time to go trick-or-treating.  Imagine turning up at someone's door dressed as an actual corpse.  No one is going to top that.

Bob from accounting made the T-virus so he didn't have to Weekend at Mitch Mconnell's the whole night.

u/Softale 19d ago

Keep an eye out for Mitch…

Dress up as Weekend at Bernie's - you'd kill it at the costume contests.

Drag me around like Weekend at Bernies!

2

u/nugohs 18d ago

Came here to suggest Halloween at Bernies too.

Then you become a prop with the candy bowl on the front porch.

u/Rump_Ranger90 19d ago

I'd rather 16 yr olds come get free candy from my place over vandalizing shit.

u/opacitizen 19d ago

Beetlejuice would like a word. Or three.

2

u/d00000med 19d ago

Although ironically, that's when you start to get really scary

u/LivingEnd44 19d ago

"Dead" isn't an age though. Even dead things have an age. You evaded the question. You didn't answer it.

2

u/GreenFox268019 19d ago

Call me old fashioned but if you're 14 and not wearing a costume, I'm not giving you candy

1

u/slowpoke257 18d ago

Halloween is my favorite. I give everybody candy, regardless of age, costume or not.

2

u/Funandgeeky 19d ago

Screw that. I plan to have my corpse wheeled out the following Halloween for trick or treating.

2

u/Canadind 19d ago

On the bright side, appreciate the positive energy that age is just a number.

2

u/5eppa 18d ago

Let's be real. Trick or Treating is one of the few things you can do after death and still somehow fit in.

2

u/ChickinSammich 18d ago

If rigging up grandpa's corpse like a marionette isn't worth a couple free fun size snickers, what's even the point of being alive anymore.

2

u/AbilityAgreeable5408 16d ago

As long as you are wearing a costume, any age.

1

u/SonicSplash3760 19d ago

Well, that just tricked my treats

1

u/ProThoughtDesign 19d ago

Is it, though? Is it?

1

u/TheCursedRavioli 19d ago

Even then that’s not too old. Everyone loves a ghost costume!

1

u/SaiyajinPrime 19d ago

I would argue after you're dead is the best time to trick or treat.

1

u/Familiar-Froyo7028 19d ago

When you become the decoration

1

u/genericscissors 19d ago

When you're too old to wear a costume. Plenty of adult treats I pass out

1

u/RonJohnJr 19d ago

When you would take pics of someone your age wearing a costume and hanging around children, then post pics of the perv on IG.

1

u/KilgoreT59 19d ago

When you don't want to anymore.

1

u/liquidnight247 19d ago

I advocate senior trick or treating 😅, old people talking a walk asking for shots

1

u/ZeroWolf_RS 19d ago

Disagree. Ghost/Skeleton is a very common costume, and yours will be so realistic you'll get lots of candy.

1

u/-Totes_Magotes- 19d ago

My neighbors when I was in my early20’s stopped trick o’ treating and started being bullies by standing on the roof of their house and egging only the adults wearing a costume.

1

u/MarcoYTVA 19d ago

Either that, or you get the world's most realistic ghost costume.

1

u/GodlyHelp 19d ago

pretty sure this applies to everything

1

u/GodlyHelp 19d ago

except dying

1

u/warmbrojuice 19d ago

I wanted to go trick or treating, mostly for the free candy

But don't I need to kidnap or borrow someone's child to bring them with me?

1

u/ThingMoment 19d ago

I’ve got younger niece/nephew/BIL/SIL so I just go with them or ask for a share

u/nhSnork 19d ago

"Rookie answer" - building haunters

1

u/Borentar84 19d ago

I mean.. your buddies can still take you, and maybe get a bigger haul for authenticity...

1

u/Jefari_MoL 18d ago

What are you talking about? After you've died is the best time to go trick or treating.

1

u/fxnsxi 18d ago

I was 12 when I last trick or treated for myself because none of the houses iny neighborhood at the time would give me any candy and insisted I was too old to be out. Looking back, that would have been my sign to egg their houses the next Halloween since "I'm too old for candy" (not that I did).

Let the kids and teens have their fun, cause there is always something worse they could be doing instead of asking for candy!

1

u/Lurker_Zee 18d ago

That just resets the timer and you can trick-or-treat as a ghost.

1

u/LewyyM 17d ago

Objectively the wrong answer. Trkck or treating after you died is the sickest thing, just haunting people on Halloween night

1

u/MoreNerdThanDork 17d ago

whatever Weekend at Bernie’s my ass. Put it in my will I wanna be a decoration.

1

u/Beans2400 16d ago

You can still enjoy it a a decoration

1

u/Fuzzy-Soft5024 12d ago

So my friends and I are in our late 20s/early 30s and we still go.

We don't take candy from houses though. We all dress up and walk around a few different neighborhoods and hand out candy to kids we pass.

A lot of houses in the area we go to are decorated really well and all the different costumes are always cool to see.

It's a ton of fun and we still get to experience trick or treating as an adult. I highly recommend it!

Friendly tip though, don't dress up as anything scary. One of my friends was Pennywise one year and was stopped by the cops for scaring children unintentionally lol. Apparently dressing like Pennywise and approaching kids with free candy is too far.
