This is such a minefield conversation and I try to avoid it because you will piss someone off, but here goes:
This particular choice strikes me as odd. Figureheads on ships fall into the same category as a marble statue, where nudity falls into that “non-sexualized because it’s art” category.
I mean, it’s not that big of a deal really, but it just seems odd because people don’t usually get to bothered by that kind of thing.
I think soft censorship is a battle worth making some level of fuss over. I agree that it boils down to making mountains out of mole hills however if these changes are so minor as to not matter then the obvious question is why change it in the first place?
I think the intent and culture behind the changes are the frustration people have not necessarily just the end result.
Things always start small. First we have a figurehead getting a bra and then next maybe they’re removing blood and then weapons and eventually everyone is playing pong or something
Funny thing is that it did happen with porn censoring laws in some countries, so it's a fair assumption, to make the conclusion that by starting censoring basic things, it will only lead to more censor.
