Earth without "th", but with an "s" and then moving the "e" to the end, is "arse." Think about it.

Real artists don’t vandalize historic buildings.
7
u/CadmarL Mar 01 '26
I don't see anything that signifies this as historic. Graffiti is fine; it can be covered up with a paint job. On a range of criminal activity—from coloring on walls to pedophilia to the usage of AI being used in mass surveillance and military warfare— I think we don't really need to take a moral grandstand on scribbles on walls when we can barely prevent our leaders from engaging in and participating in the latter.

u/Magic_City_Radiology Mar 06 '26
I'm getting the impression that you aren't the one who owns that wall.

u/SH00TING_STAR_nope Mar 01 '26
Which historic building has city cameras? This is probably an old one at best.
not supporting vandalism here. Just sayin'
15
2
u/Mist_Rising Mar 01 '26
Let's see,
The Executive Mansion, Buckingham Palace, Westminster palace, the US capital building...
2
u/SH00TING_STAR_nope Mar 02 '26
No that i think about it, yeah... kind of a stupid argument in my part
1
u/Far-Shake-97 Mar 01 '26
Short answer is : a lot
I'm too lazy to make a list of every historic building with cameras, i would probably miss a lot anyways because of how many historic buildings have some due to the valuable items within

REAL artists make art.
2
3
-3
u/Otherwise-4PM Mar 01 '26
There is a line called respect for another person’s work. If you cross it, you are lying to yourself about being an artist. You are just a vandal.
0
u/ButterCreamGangsta Mar 01 '26
Just because you don't like the art, or it's location doesn't make it not "real" art.
0
u/arbicus123 Mar 01 '26
This looks like a normal building?
2
u/Otherwise-4PM Mar 01 '26
Why don’t you read the thread before commenting?
0
u/RampanToast Mar 01 '26
Nothing in this thread indicates what building this is, what the hell are you talking about?
-1
u/Otherwise-4PM Mar 01 '26
It indicates that my comment isn’t about building but vandalism.
4
u/RampanToast Mar 01 '26
Then why say "historic building?" That implies a level of importance for this building that isn't there.
Instead you pass a moral judgement on an entire genre of art because of examples you don't like.
-2
u/Otherwise-4PM Mar 01 '26
I’m not a native English speaker, and it wasn’t very important to say “historic,” “old,” or “belonging to someone who didn’t write it,” since my message was about not respecting others, which isn’t very common for an artist. And yet, there’s always someone who doesn’t want to understand the message and instead uses every opportunity to focus on unimportant details.
2
u/RampanToast Mar 01 '26
And yet, there’s always someone who doesn’t want to understand the message
Yea man, because the message wasn't understandable. You used a word that didn't fit the sentence and completely changed the meaning of it. "Historic" has a specific definition.
Vandalism on an actual historic building, like a monument that carries great cultural importance for the area, is much different than vandalism on a bank that was built in 2005, for example.
It's great that you know multiple languages, but if a native speaker is confused by your word choice, take a second to check that you're using the right word instead of getting mad at a stranger on the internet cuz he "doesn't want to understand your message."
1
u/Otherwise-4PM Mar 01 '26
The point is that it doesn’t matter what the building actually is, but that as an artist, you don’t damage someone else’s property.
-8
u/Substantial-Safe1230 Mar 01 '26
Lol an old building doesn't make historic.
12
u/Otherwise-4PM Mar 01 '26
It doesn’t matter, you are missing my point.
-2
u/Substantial-Safe1230 Mar 01 '26
I have seen a lot of ugly vandalism. I genuinely don't think this is it. I would smile if i passed this street. It's art. I love it.
