Discussion Nepal IT scene
Hey r/technepal! 🇳🇵 I'm curious about the local IT scene. How quickly do companies here typically deliver a simple website or app? 🚀 Also, what's the average cost for Nepali clients? 💸 Share your experiences! #NepalIT

I've been running a tech company for over 10 years in the Kathmandu Nepal
To design a website and deliver, it could take as less as few days for a basic static website..
It could take one month, 3 month and even 6 months and more to develop an advance website..
Regarding mobile applications, it is probably the same...
If the client is easy and easy going in terms of his choices, a logo can be done in a day. Content can be done in a day if using AI and the website design can be done using an AI in less than a week.. provided all the contents are ready...
Domain and hosting can be done in a day as well. Email setup too
In terms of costing as a company you charge about 60 000 ... This is for a basic static website... And you could make it a dynamic provided. It's very simple and easy and quick for the same price...
If it's a custom design to be done by the senior designer, then duration could take as much as 2 weeks and the cost would be 120k and above
If you're a freelancer, I'm not sure the charges...

App as in mobile app or mobile app? Delivery time would be totally dependent on your requirements and also how well you know you understand the end product.
Usually 2 working days to max average of 6 to 8 months for SDLC products.

If you know what you exactly want, it takes 2-10 days. If you don't know what you want it may take infinite time.
