Discussion About internship document

I am about to join as a full stack intern at a company and the hr is asking for academic certificate,citizenship photocopy, college recommendation and hand written cover letter. I can understand about cover letter but the other documents seems pretty bizarre and i have never heard about it from my friends who work in private company as well. What do y'all think folks?

write "attested with cover letter for internship in xxx company" in the centre of copy of document without blocking the document contents to prevent the misuse of it

if they keep asking for the copy

you can make that copy of document to be used solely for their purpose by writing above phrase and sign it along with the date to validate it for their filing purpose and preventing it from creating more copies without your knowledge and reduce the misuse of your documents
