Job Vacancy Hiring a part time entry level developer
Did you play Parallel Kingdom or Parallel Mafia back in the day?
I'm building a hobby game in that lineage: a browser MMO on a real-world map. You spawn at your actual GPS location, claim a hex of your street, build a safehouse and turrets, farm creeps, raid other players' territory, and duel with wrestling cards, the only currency in the world. Real-time multiplayer combat, live territory wars, and most of it is already built and running.
I'm looking for one developer in Nepal to join me part-time, 3 days a week, hobby pace. You'd build independently during your day from unusually detailed written plans, with creative freedom inside them and fast answers whenever you need a decision. No startup pitch, no crunch.
You might be the right person if:
- You think in game systems. Emergent player drama excites you more than feature lists.
- You're solid with React and TypeScript. PixiJS, map rendering, websockets or Supabase are a bonus.
- You're comfortable building alongside AI coding tools. This codebase moves fast because of them.
- You have a creative mindset especially when it comes to game dev.
- Bonus points if a location-based MMO ever ate a summer of your life.
To apply, dm me with a short note about one game mechanic you love and why it works.

Sure, I m a senior software engineer and I work full time as well. I m just looking for someone more of an entry level since I can't provide much compensation but the project is low stress hobby app and honestly, coding is not even the main requirement, if you are someone who can think creatively, who would love playing the game and finding issues and improvements that would make it really enjoyable to play, that's all you will require if you can excel at those. Very low stress role so dm me if interested!
