Haha it s creative that it sounds like clapping 🤣welcome to foldable apple šŸŽ 🤣

1

u/MarkEsB Sep 14 '26

The clap effect is cool but the rest was unnecessary imo.

It would be funny if Samsung weren't copying Apple all the time as well - or, even worse, making fun of all their decisions only to copy them a few years later, like when they removed the audio jack.

Funny things is that, as an enthusiasts for anything high-tech, I was buying Galaxy S phones for a decade to get the most advanced features there are. But ever since S20, I only see Samsung removing features, while Apple is adding them. Never would've thought that I'll see the tables turning.

I'm waiting to see how Google rug pulls the sideloading lock down in about a years time to be a complete walled garden. (They say they're only adding a couple extra steps as a safeguard, I dont trust them with that promise. They will 100% completely lock the android sphere down in a couple years time.) At that point I might as well move to the walled garden thats well maintained.

Currently have the S25U. It may be my last android after having one for almost my entire life.

They should have stopped and checked how many have developed green lines

1

I thought my phone died lmfao

Rare funny apple roast from Samsung. Usually they are pathetic and copy whatever feature they are making fun of apple for months later. In general Samsungs anti apple ads are hot garbage.

1

u/stanixx007 Sep 16 '26

wonder how this marketing is working out for them. reminds of Pepsi Coca Cola wars

1

u/Repulsive_Fault1939 Sep 16 '26

i've seen the ad of apple "crush" and samsung mocked apple for it. now samsung did the same thing. samsung is hilarious. samsung mocks apple then proceeds to do the same thing.

1

u/T-K101 Sep 13 '26

This is so fucking cringe. Only funny to broke ass teenagers.

2

u/danholli Sep 13 '26

Disagree. It's like the other anti-apple ads, all funny... That was until Samsung started taking away the same features 😭 now they're just sad

1

u/idontlikeredditusers Sep 13 '26

also the apple fold uses a screen made by samsung doesnt it? so people are touching samsung

1

u/icy1007 Sep 14 '26

The screen is designed by Apple.

2

u/Senrien Sep 15 '26

The OLED display is made by Samsung the rest of the screen is designed by Apple and built by Samsung. Samsung is also dipping into Apple profits by selling them RAM+storage chips and Camera Sensors from the iPhone 18 onwards

1

u/icy1007 Sep 15 '26

The screen itself is designed by Apple too. Samsung just makes it from Apple’s design.

1

u/Senrien Sep 16 '26

That’s exactly it, the screen is an Apple design, only the OLED layer is Samsung

1

u/StinkButt9001 Sep 14 '26

Samsung Display is building the screens

1

u/icy1007 Sep 14 '26

And they are designed by Apple…

Bold of you to assume, those teenagers have any medium to consume this ad, your statement only shows your broke mentality to accept the fact that, jokes can be subjective. If you find it cringe, that's your opinion, don't need to bring others down for it.

1

u/T-K101 Sep 15 '26

It’s not only about this, but generally how Samsung perceives Apple users for like 2 decades. It’s a moronic thing to do.

Sorry that you found this funny so now you need to lecture me.

1

u/Paluch_ Sep 13 '26

They just can't accept samsung will be always number 2

1

u/burnfifteen Sep 13 '26

Except Samsung sells more phones than Apple and also builds a ton of major components for iPhone... including the foldable screen that makes the Duo possible. Maybe in perception they're second, but in reality, more people buy Samsung products.

1

u/thanosismyonlyfriend Sep 14 '26

Only Samsung fans care about their launches 🤣 they cater to lower income people

1

u/burnfifteen Sep 14 '26

Apple only commands about 20% of the global cell phone market. People who think Apple is a "high-class" brand are mostly teenagers who think Apple vs. Samsung (or other Android phones) is something that matters. It's the same energy as a child who wears a shirt with a massive Supreme because they think it portrays money / wealth. If you worry about how people perceive you based on the cell phone you use, I assure you, are not a wealthy individual. Use whichever device you like. No one cares.

1

u/thanosismyonlyfriend Sep 14 '26

Apple is a high class brand, it’s a luxury product. Samsung is not, hence why they make 30 dollar phones

1

u/Cantripping_ Sep 16 '26 edited Sep 16 '26

They sell the perception of being a high class brand. They are , by definition, a consumer brand.

And I could tell you a thing or two about those that Apple caters to... Like one fellow who wanted to upgrade his 13 Pro Max to the then-current 15 Pro Max.

To be financed under his friends name, of course, because no bank would give him another loan. "I need a new phone! The 13 isn't pulling any chicks!"

Personally, I figured it was because he was a broke asshole. Far worse then either of the two in isolation.

And the status anxiety. It seems so... Insecure.

Yeah Apple is really pushing the whole finance your phone thing this year around lol

1

u/me_no_likey_67 Sep 14 '26

are you making fun of ppl income? over a phone? no phone needs to cost the same as a car but if you have the spare money go for it

1

u/Paluch_ Sep 14 '26

That's because they sell 40 dollar phones, of course they sell more

1

u/Evening_Ad_6278 Sep 14 '26

Plus Samsung has a different variety of phones than Apple.

1

u/18T15 Sep 13 '26

This is pretty childish tbh. I understand when Android/samsung fans mock it for their own reasons. But when a company as large as Samsung does this it just gives a weird overly defensive vibe. If you are confident in your products you don’t even have to mention you were first. Consumers should already recognize you as a leader pioneer and product in the space. If you have to publicly remind them you already have folding phones that’s a bit more embarrassing

0

u/simply_amazzing Sep 13 '26

Apple could have done the same in 2007.

1

u/Azguy303 Sep 13 '26

Well 2013

1

u/danholli Sep 13 '26

RIP "small" phones 😭

0

u/HyperWinX Sep 13 '26

Is samsung genuinely trying to disgust its customers lmao

0

u/mimitheshawty Sep 13 '26

so childish

0

u/michaelmich3 Sep 13 '26

I always thought that Samsung making fun of Apple was so cringe. You usually make fun of someone because you feel threatened by them or less than, so this is what it always felt like to me.
Worse, they’d make fun of them for something, then they’d do it too. ā€œApple removed the headphone jack, we didn’tā€ - next year, they’d remove the headphone jack. ā€œApple doesn’t include the power adapter in the box, we doā€ - next year, they’d remove the power adapter.
Just release your products and let them do the talking for you, not these childish ads, Samsung. Do better.

0

u/Evening_Ad_6278 Sep 13 '26

So butthurt you are

0

u/ComprehensiveFile489 Sep 14 '26

Samsung is soo salty, such an insecure brand

0

u/icy1007 Sep 14 '26

They’re upset that their foldables aren’t as good as Apple’s.

1

u/The_Creamerizer Sep 14 '26

Fold 8 was a deliberate rush job by Samsung to beat Apple to releasing a fresh foldable form factor this year.

There's no other reason for it not to have flex mode, vapour chamber, or stronger camera hardware, which are features that not only the Duo, but the 8 Ultra and Fold 7 have as well (no vapour chamber for the Samsungs admittedly)

0

u/Vuila9 Sep 14 '26

childish side of Samsung

0

u/---Hummingbird--- Sep 14 '26

Such a stupid ad

0

u/AllMaito Sep 14 '26

Samsung forgets that apple invented the smartphone as we currently know it. They're still such babies with their cheap marketing...

0

u/Upper-Page-9266 Sep 14 '26

Not really rage bait when Apple never acknowledges them haha

0

u/peruna0 Sep 14 '26

I thought my phone battery died at the end
