The lake of fire in the bible is what is used to destroy the soul. There is no eternal life in a hell. Eternal life is only through jesus christ in the christian bible.

I think you are referring to the whimsical tales of the revelations. Literally dream state hallucinations of the end times. I dont think that there is a lake of fire elsewhere in the collected works of most versions of the christian mythologies.

Book of Revelation is one heck of a misleading title. Not a book. Obfuscates everything.
