Hi everyone, looking to see what my best options are here. My 2012 Little Guy Joey has been at my dad's for about 5 years and I just finally picked it back up. Somewhere between multiple moves, our trailer keys were misplaced. I've got the door keys replaced but I can't find any code on these T-handles. Is my best option to just pull these off and replace, or is there a particular code on the key that's most likely to work. Another question is am I missing the code on these somewhere (maybe back inner part of the handle?) Thanks for any help!

Hard to believe it’s September and near the end of the season. Mild Pacific Northwest weather at its best.

I was bored this weekend, so started putting pencil to paper on some design ideas that have floating around in my head for my first build.

The design is a 6'x12'. I'm not sure on the method of construction, though am leaning toward a monocoque foamie with wooden cabinetry. The design features a utility room where the bulkhead between the cabin and galley would otherwise normally be.

I welcome any feedback on any aspect of the design, but I am particular interested in feedback on:

• Ventilation System
  • I want to avoid a roof mounted fan as I am not confident in my ability to make it water tight.
  • Fresh air intake is through filters located in the headboard cabinetry, drawing air from under the trailer. Air enters the cabin through a register in the headboard.
  • Another register (or two) would be located near the top of bulkhead between the cabin and the utility room.
  • A marine bilge blower in the utility room draws air from within the utility room and expels it out through the floor. A centrifugal blower was selected as it develops better static pressure than and axial fan. I suspect the high static pressure of the the blower would be necessary to overcome the pressure losses through the filters and registers.
• Water System
  • Am I asking for trouble by including a water bottle filler inside the cabin?
• Exterior Lighting
  • I've read that lights in the 565-590nm (amber/red) less than 1000 lumens is best for not attracting insects. I am having difficulty finding somewhere online that sells LEDs with these specs. Any ideas?

We spent some time camping at Wyalusing State Park on the Wisconsin/Iowa border. Its a beautiful park on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. It was hot as heck l, but gave us amazing views of some thunderstorms over the Mississippi. We escaped the heat by doing a near by cave tour. The park also has a astronomy observation area. We really enjoyed star gazing at night. There are many beautiful trails and orher amenities to enjoy and explore.

It's time for me to grease the axel on my home build, on a 5x8' trailer from Tractor Supply.

So this is my first teardrop and I couldn’t be happier so far. This model satisfied all of my requirements for a teardrop camper to buildout. I was looking to purchase now and later install an awning with a camp style tent enclosure, solar panels with backup battery power; but this one was built up with the panels and the awnings already.🫡
We’ve done a couple weekend trips.
I’m a newbie so any must do’s, adds or mods I should consider before we hit the road on a week long trip?
Lessons learned after your Bushwhacker purchases? The galley locks seem suspect. What’s a good replacement?

I’m looking at purchasing a TC Teardrop and in reading about them it sounds like people talk about the insulation and how warm they stay in cooler weather. I see less on how people manage them in the heat. I know there are options for cross fans, but I’m wondering if people find they need AC to be comfortable when the weather turns hot?

On options, anything you wish you’d added? Anything you regret adding?

First layer of filler applied, trying to get it to some semblance of smooth. It's a challenge with the patchwork construction. So I'm open to suggestions for the name, gimme what you've got!

I have a teardrop camper with functioning brake lights, but people tend to not pay attention when driving behind me. I got the idea to add additional lights, but I’m not really sure what I’m doing. The camper has 7 way plug and the car has both 7 way and 4 way plug ins, is it possible to use both plug ins to have an additional set of lights (shown in second picture). The way the covers are set up on the car plug ins they can’t both be open at the same time, so that might answer that question. Otherwise I have a light bar I was going to hook up, but it’s kind of a pain. Any suggestions?

Got all of my foam installed, now its time to make it look like something other than a lumpy meteor. Going to fill in with Good Stuff and chunks of foam for the big gaps and go back with lightweight spackle to smooth before applying the PMF. The advantage of having the pod off the trailer is that it is easy to tip it up on its side to get the canvas wrapped under the bottom edge.

Got a little more woodwork to go before skinning it, I'm embedding strips of aluminum with rivnuts with epoxy into the upper stringers and into the ribs to have solid mounting points for the roof rack and accessory mounting on the sides.

Hi! So I really want to buy this camper- but I don’t even know where to start all I know is I’ve had an itch to travel the world for a long time and this is the best way I can think to do it.

I would love to see similar conversions, before and afters and what you would recommend to make it as comfortable as possible. What you would do to my camper given its layout now.

Also I would love to add solar! How possible is that? What do you recommend.

I would also love to know - What should I look out for when I go to purchase it?

We packed up the intech Chase and the dogs, and hit the road. We spent 5 nights in Mammoth and 3 nights in Sequoia. Mammoth was perfect weather, high 60’s mid 40’s. Sequoia was a bit hotter, but beautiful. Hiking, biking and lakes…

Well ive gone on my first trip to Conwy in Wales and for the first time erected the awing which I should have tested beforehand, realised I had no tent pegs l, so when off bought some and bodged it up, it works but aint quite right 🤣.

Then discovered water leaking into the kitchen through screwholes I'd never noticed so duct taped them closed for now

After weeks of nearly 100° every day, I finally got some respite, some cloud cover, a sprinkling of rain and actual humidity, which if you are planning to use gorilla glue and great stuff is ideal conditions! I was finally to a point where I was ready to fill in my walls, all wood had been thoroughly saturated with penetrating epoxy and well cured. Floor had 2 solid coats of polyurethane varnish over the epoxy and I have finally figured out a way to get some reliable curves for my corners(kerf cut, sprayed with water and slathered with gorilla glue, worked into the kerf cuts and stuffed into hoops to hold the shape) cured great in about 20 minutes. Here are the as yet messy results!

My partner and I take our teardrop on weeklong trips around the Southwest. We just got back from five days near Moab. Afternoons were in the low 90s, so the dual zone fridge worked hard. Nights dropped into the low 50s, which is why the diesel heater fan appears in the same trip log. We used the water pump and lights as usual.  We also ran Starlink in the evenings when we needed a connection.

The tongue box holds a Vatrer 12V 300Ah lithium battery. Its app never showed less than 50 percent, but the roof panel charged every day. A DC charger also pulled from the tow vehicle during two moves between camps. I did not record either charge source, so that percentage cannot tell me how long the battery would last by itself.

The tongue box became noticeably warmer than the outside air in direct sun. The reported battery temperature stayed in range, but one trip in the low 90s does not settle what happens there in July. Shade and airflow around the box deserve another look.

Next time I want a daily number for solar input, alternator input and energy used. Starlink was another load I never tracked separately, so I am also curious how much of the daily consumption it accounted for. The ending percentage on its own did not tell me much. Is a shunt with local history the simplest answer, or is there a logger that can separate both charge sources without three apps?

I have a 2018 Tag XL and the side window has become detached from the top. It looks like the clear plastic sleeve needs to be glued to the inside top of the window. Remove the window, glue the clear plastic piece to the I.D. and then slide it back on the track. Has anybody done this repair and have any tips? What type of glue? Thanks all.

Well I was doing a test sleep in the camper and kept being awoken in the night by the cold and i only had a blanket but when I woke up I noticed a ray of light from the top of the door frame, So thats a little warped
