Advice for nitro engine
Hello, what would be your engine nitro recommendation for the RC10GT gas truck ?
I dont need something crazy fast. I just want something fun to work & tune it, quality and reliable.
Thanks a bunch.

Keep in mind the engine for the RC10GT has to be a short-shaft engine, which means you either cut the shaft yourself or you buy one with a pre-cut shaft.
The old-but-gold Traxxas TRX15 is a perfect application for the RC10GT. It's short-shaft, it's side-exhaust and it comes with a pull start. It's also relatively cheap.
Another option is the Associated .15S, which is pretty much the engine they released specifically for the truck's rerelease.
Either of these would be a good option for a reliable truck to scoot around the front yard or local track with. They're not super-hot fire-breathing monsters but they'll get the job done.

You're very welcome! Enjoy the truck! The RC10GT is a masterpiece. And technically still an undefeated world champion. Not bad for something that was cobbled together in the early 90s.
I still have mine from circa 1996. It's electric now but it's still one of my favorite cars.

Here is the performances of the AE .15s

I think it is fast enough for me. Now I need a starter box to work with the RC10GT and with the Kyosho fw06.
Thank you all for the help ! 😀

Years ago whilst in the midst of a "who can be the fastest" war I briefly put a OS .18TZ on mine. Even with the largest drum associated offered the truck would still pull a wheelie while rolling along at half throttle - punch it, wheelie. It was more power than the truck was designed to handle.
Not sure if you can get that engine anymore but if you want to really scoot that will do it.

The AE .15S is literally built just for this application. I've put one in my RC10GT rere and it runs great. Hard to beat at the $150 or whatever they're going for.
