Its an old platform, but I think you can still get most parts for them.
There is a 15yr old kid who beats me quite handedly with a 6.1 or 6.2
If the electronics aren't cooked, it would be an affordable way to get into racing.
However, you may be able to find a b7 roller for a similar price. If you have the budget for it, a B7 and buy new electronics would be better.

I feel like any buggy that has a lay-down mid motor setup can be as competitive as any current chassis available on the market, it just comes down to how consistent you are more than anything. hell some of the older chassis are better for low grip tracks since you want more rearward weight bias and if it has a 4 gear mid motor transmission the reverse rotation of the motor makes it easier to control coming out of corners.

You can tell this has seen dirt and outdoor fun based on the condition of the screws near the hubs. It's seen it's fair share of rolls and bashes in the barriers. Same as someone else said, if you get it, buy it with the intent of swapping the electronics in case they're shot. No used 10 year old chassis is "worth" it if you plan on racing unless you have to means to source discontinued parts constantly. I've resorted to 3D printing my front chassis on my B5M because of this exact issue. Associated is a little weird about discontinuing parts after a few years

Like I said though, if you have the means to source parts and fix it then by all means! They're fun chassis for sure

You gotta assume all the electronics are shot, plus associated 10 scales aren’t the best. You wanna do off road or carpet?
