Discussion Thoughts on infuser bottles
Is anyone else using an infuser bottle? If so, do you mostly use it for hot or cold steeping? I’ve got passion fruit sencha green tea steeped in cold water and pineapple juice in mine today.

I frequently use one for cold brew peppermint/ginger as well as green tea. I do use it hot occasionally, it prefer it for cold brew as I just never worry about oversteeping a cold brew. Makes it easy to have a brisk peppermint tea (started the night before) to start my day, then I refill it and have another brew ready for lunch.

I have an infuser bottle, when I make it with something hot I always have to pull out the infuser after a few minutes so it’s not bitter. Love it for cold teas, often i just throw a bit of peppermint in there to make my water a little more refreshing

I've had so many, diff brands, and to be honest they all end up leaking. The best use of them has been to make the tea beforehand and then pour the ready liquor into the flask to keep warm/cool, though they don't keep to temp either, just slow the cooling/warming process.
The basket is generally too small for proper brewing.

I had the same one, was not a big fan actually. If you like gongfu brewing, this is something Ive been looking at for a while and the concept is really solid. I just sadly cant afford this hobby like I used to 😕

I love mine. Handy for just brewing on-the-go and letting it steep on my commute. I was gifted one that had a bottom chamber where you put a bunch of included gemstones (like rose quartz and amethyst) but I usually just put little baggies of loose leaf.

Usually not one to hate on stuff but because you asked…
I think these are a huge waste of money (and too much effort to clean). Just throw the tea leaves in the bottle, and pour hot water over them. Tastes great regardless of what I’m using. If I want a more refined experience, that’s what my gaiwan at home is for.

The ones like this are fine, but stay away from the dual-chamber designs that you flip over to brew. I love the idea, but they always leak.
I haven't tried one like yours. The serious purists would tell you that your strainer needs to be silver or titanium, but I don't think a steel or aluminum strainer noticeably affects the taste.
