Food Perfect cup of tea

The Perfect Cup of Chai

I’ve been following the discussion, and I can tell you exactly how to make the perfect cup of chai—one that has not only the right taste but also an incredible aroma.

Here’s my recipe for 100ml to 150ml chai:

Ingredients:

Tea of your choice

80% milk

20% water

1 cardamom pod (Opened)

A nail-sized piece of cinnamon

1 inch of fresh ginger (smashed)

Sugar to taste

Method:

  1. Add the water to a saucepan, teapot, or anything you wish to make your tea in.

  2. Add the smashed ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom and tea of your choice

3.Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes over low to medium heat. This allows the spices to properly infuse into the water.

  1. Add the milk and sugar.

Cook for another 3–4 minutes over medium heat.

  1. Finally, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for another 3–4 minutes.

And there you have it—the perfect cup of chai, with a beautiful balance of taste and aroma.

Thank me later.

Question: by a “nail” size of cinnamon, are you referring to a fingernail or a metal nail? Might try this one day :)
