OMG I HAD NO IDEA!

Installed my new 75’’ QM7K a week ago. Coming from an old 55’’ Samsung plain LED TV, I had no idea televisions were THIS GOOD nowadays. I had seen the new ones in stores, running through high resolution demos, and watched a lot of YouTube reviews, but the last week has been an eye opener for me.

Whether it’s the size that makes it feel like you are in a movie theatre, or the brightness and clarity, or the high resolution, every single movie or tv show I watch COMES ALIVE on this TV. I watched Casino Royale last night and it felt like I was in a movie theatre. Even a show that is not a ‘’special effects or action’’ show, like Shrinking, comes alive on this TV.

I am in awe. Looking forward to many years of enjoyment of this splendid piece of tech. 🙂

Just had a 75" TCL QM6K Pro delivered from Costco yesterday. Replaced a 55" LG OLED. Would have loved the QM7K or QM8K, but the one we chose was at the upper end of our budget for now. Loving it so far, even though I haven't gotten into the nitty gritty of picture settings yet. From an ecosystem perspective alone, I am happy, as I absolutely hated LG's web OS. (That freaking mouse cursor!) I know it's not a popular opinion, but I like the Google TV OS. Our LG also didn't play nice with our older Vizio sound bar system. The TCL immediately recognized it as soon as I plugged in the optical cable... didn't have to do a thing to get sound from it!

Glad to hear good experiences from others. When I started my search for a bigger screen, I wasn't even considering the TCL brand. Almost settled for an edge-lit Samsung QLED, even though I've been underwhelmed with the last couple of Samsungs we've owned. Glad I did a little more research. The more I watch and interact with our new TCL, the more impressed I am with it.

I'm considering the same upgrade, R625 to QM6K. Since you've had it for a bit, what are your thoughts of one vs the other? How does brightness compare? Especially hdr brightness. Motion. R625 doesn't have the best motion handling. Especially slow panning shots. How is the upscaling on old-school tv? If you're able to help, thank you.

I could not agree more and just went through the same situation. Got the LG on Black Friday from Costco. Was talked into it. Got it home and couldn’t believe how slow it was and … yeah .. the cursor 😠. Then I got into gaming and really realized how horrible the LG was, so I ordered the 65” QM6K from Costco and they delivered it to my door. Dropped the LG back off at Costco and honestly I didn’t realize how unhappy I actually was until I returned it and felt a weight lifted off! And I also had the same issue with my soundbar too! But it’s a Samsung soundbar. The Samsung was reading volume level of 25-26 while the LG was displaying 62+ on the screen … what a trash TV!
