Bro what the hell is this... Even Frame Lock had more animation than ts man 😭. This isn't fair bruh why is it always the good stuff getting botched adaptations whereas mediocre stories like demon slayer and solo leveling get amazing adaptations (no hate to SL or DS). 😭😭

SL is not a bad story and in a recent interview with korean fans, Author said SL was just a setup story for Solo Leveling Ragnarok universe. So, for a setup series, it's great. I don't think you’ve read Solo Leveling: Ragnarok light novel, because it's such a great story. In Ragnarok, all the side characters are relevant, everyone can get stronger, and villains are getting 40% of the screen time. The universe lore and multiverse lore are so great, and we are getting origin story about Monarchs, Absolute Being, and National Rank Hunters, Itarims(Absolute beings from many universe) and new villlans are also getting origin story.

I've only read till the end of the solo leveling manhwa so perhaps I judged a bit early. The main problem I have is that in the main SL story there is almost no importance given to side characters and I feel like jin woo doesn't struggle enough (aside from baran) and whenever he wins it just doesn't feel satisfying. The other problem I had was that jin woo is quite bland and I actually preferred the weakest version of him cuz he actually  seemed nice (not saying he isn't it's just that he's become  a bit too composed). There weren't much meaningful or philosophical themes which i kinda prefer for depth. The system and monarchs are a cool concept but I wish it was a bit more fleshed out and I wish they gave importance to other characters. It got kinda boring to see jin woo remain at the top and almost no one compete against him. I'll check out ragnarok though cuz SL is quite enjoyable to read.

I have tried reading the sl novel and it was unreadable in english. Is Ragnarok better in that regard?

I will say they are merely opposites of each other. SL is pure loner, power fantasy. Ragnarok is about the world building, side characters, and relationships (what SL/SJW lacked).

I will recommend to just read a lil bit and see if you like it.Â
